Blog is a bit out of order, this post should have occurred before the last post.
Dropped onsite to find that all ceiling, wall and acoustic insulation installed in preparation for gyrocking.
Gyprock in the garage
Front door frame installed
The yellow wall insulation is what comes standard with the house, however since we have hebel panel walls, we have R1.5 in lieu of R2.0. I was told it's R1.5 as R2.0 will be too thick.
Looking from the sitting room into the entry. Since the garage is north facing it's going to be very toasty in summer, so I'm counting on this insulation to do it's job.
This green stuff on the ceiling is an upgrade, we got R2.5 rockwool soundscreeen acoustic insulation between the first and the ground floor.
Cavity sliding doors installed in the study.
Cut outs for the four light points and centre air con duct in the study.
Powder room

Looking the other way
Kitchen insulation
Ground floor ceiling acoustic insulation, square holes cut out for light points to be installed after gyprock.
Cavity for the sliding door between the kitchen and entry. This should contain most of the noise and kitchen smells from the kitchen/living areas.
More green stuff in the family room, the other side of the wall is the study, but I just realised the cavity slide door frame will leave an acoustic insulation gap! Oh well what can you do, at least most of the wall is insulated.
Looking from the rumpus room where the TV should be, cavity doors to the right. One thing we forgot to get is acoustic sound insulation between the rumpus and living!
Ensuite with a pile of gyrock sitting there, not sure how this was carried into this room?
Acoustic insulation between the ensuite bathroom and bedroom 2.
Acoustic insulation between the bathroom and bedroom 4
Anyone know why no insulation is installed between the bathroom tub and the rumpus room roof?
Acoustic insulation between the bathroom/water closet and bedroom 3. Cavity door installed in the water closet as we opted to install a Liano Hand Wall Basin in there.
Photo from Bedroom 3. I was surprised to see acoustic insulation installed in the robe between bedroom 2 and bedroom 3 as this wasn't indicated in the plan. Who know's maybe they quoted me for this but forgot to put it in the plan, either way I'm happy as clothes hangers and robes can be a very noisy combination.
R4.0 ceiling insulation comes standard with this house.
Photo from bedroom 5, originally this was a sitting room, however we really didn't want another sitting room, another couch, another TV, so an extra room just for storage is most welcomed. One thing that still bugs me is that I should have changed the front two windows to non fixed to allow for cross ventilation.
Very nice Design... http://www.jonesroofing.com.au/roof-ceiling-insulation.php
